The printer itself is relatively compact for a professional 14-inch DTF platform.

Heating DTF adhesive powder produces fumes, and xTool strongly recommends connecting the OS1 to an appropriate air-purification system.

Do You Need a Heat Press With the Apparel Printer Plus?
Yes.
This is one of the easiest pieces of the DTF workflow to misunderstand.
The Apparel Printer Plus prints the transfer. The OS1 can apply powder and cure it. You still need a heat press to permanently bond the finished transfer to the garment.

For routine production, xTool recommends keeping conditions closer to approximately 50–80% RH when possible.
The Apparel Printer Plus adds built-in humidity management, which helps stabilize conditions around the printhead when room humidity is low.
xTool recommends enabling the humidity module when ambient relative humidity is below about 50%. At very high humidity levels above roughly 70%, its current setup guide recommends turning the module off rather than adding more moisture.

The printer uses xTool Studio for design preparation, RIP functions, nesting, print layout and machine control.
xTool notes that minimum-spec computers can run the core software, but large bitmap images and complex SVG artwork may become slower to import and edit.
