The Roland TrueVIS AG-640 is a 64-inch commercial latex printer/cutter for signs, decals, vehicle graphics, window displays, interiors and exhibition graphics. It combines Roland TA2 water-based latex inks, integrated drying, up to 1,200 dpi output and an integrated cut-before-print workflow for compatible short-run contour-cut graphics.

Selling price: $19,995. TA2 inks and optimizer are not included. This is the equipment selling price, not an all-in delivered or installed package. Media, freight, shipping, delivery, rigging, placement, installation, electrical work, training, paid software upgrades and extended service coverage are separate unless expressly itemized in the written quote. Confirm applicable taxes and other charges.

Choose the right ink configuration

Choose CMYK + optimizer for general color graphics, or CMYK + Orange + Red + White + optimizer for expanded color and white-ink applications on suitable transparent, colored and specialty media. Confirm the configuration with a GPI printer specialist before ordering and installation. Ink configuration should not be treated as a software-only setting.

Understand the integrated cutting workflow

The AG-640 performs contour cutting before printing while preserving registration. For laminated jobs, individually separated stickers, complex cuts or higher cutting volumes, confirm the complete finishing route; a separate compatible cutter may be appropriate. Additional finishing equipment is sold separately.

Production and software

Variable-dot piezo printheads support controlled ink placement and detailed output. Media-saving functions and integrated curing help streamline production. Properly cured latex output requires no solvent outgassing; always follow the media and laminate manufacturers' finishing requirements. VersaWorks 7 RIP software and Roland DG Connect are included. Optional premium services and software add-ons are separate.

Roland TrueVIS AG-640 64" Latex Printer/Cutter

Commercial latex printing and contour cutting in one production platform.

Print signs, decals, vehicle graphics and window displays with a wide-format system built for a varied production schedule. The Roland AG-640 combines TA2 water-based latex ink, integrated drying and a cut-before-print workflow for short-run contour-cut graphics.

Choose CMYK production or expanded color with Orange, Red and White to match the work your shop sells. Up to 1,200 dpi resolution, included VersaWorks 7 and Roland DG Connect support detailed output and a repeatable workflow.

Equipment price: $19,995. TA2 inks and optimizer are not included. Media, freight, delivery, installation, training and other services are separate unless expressly itemized in your written quote.

Choose Your AG-640 Ink Configuration

Match the ink capabilities to your everyday jobs and specialty work.

CMYK serves general color graphics. The expanded-color configuration adds Orange, Red and White for a wider color range and opaque graphics on suitable transparent or colored media. Confirm your configuration with a GPI printer specialist before ordering and installation; do not treat it as a software-only setting.

Both configurations require separately purchased TA2 inks and optimizer.

What Can You Make With the AG-640?

Build a production mix around the customers you already serve: signs, stickers, vehicles, windows, interiors and events. The examples below show application possibilities; the exact media, ink configuration, laminate and finishing method still need to match the job.

Stickers, Labels & Decals

Stickers, Labels & Decals

Produce short-run contour-cut graphics on compatible adhesive media. The integrated workflow cuts before printing; confirm your finishing method for laminated or individually separated stickers.

Vehicle & Fleet Graphics

Vehicle & Fleet Graphics

Integrated Cutting, Explained

The AG-640 cuts before printing—not after.

Roland specifies a single cut-and-print workflow: contour cutting takes place before printing while registration is preserved. This gives shops an integrated route for compatible short-run labels, decals, stickers and shaped graphics without treating every job as a separate-device project.

Plan the finished product, not just the printed roll. Lamination, individually separated stickers, complex cutting and long production runs can change the best finishing route. Ask us to review a representative file and media construction before assuming the integrated workflow replaces every finishing step.

For higher cutting volumes, a separate compatible cutter can provide parallel production while the AG-640 prints the next job. Additional cutting and finishing equipment is sold separately.

Integrated Cutting, Explained

Expanded Color and White-Ink Graphics

Go beyond standard graphics on white media.

Orange and Red extend the available color gamut for saturated artwork and brand-focused graphics. White adds an opaque layer on suitable transparent, colored and specialty media, opening up window decals, premium labels and other work that CMYK alone cannot reproduce in the same way.

Choose the effect before choosing the configuration. Consider the viewing side, required opacity, media color and layer construction. For critical brand colors, evaluate a sample on the intended media rather than assuming every spot color is automatically matched.

Roland's white-ink circulation supports ink readiness, but normal maintenance still applies. White capability requires the appropriate ink configuration; TA2 inks and optimizer are purchased separately.

Expanded Color and White-Ink Graphics

A More Repeatable Production Workflow

Included software, controlled ink placement and integrated drying.

  • VersaWorks 7 included: Prepare jobs, manage color and organize print-and-cut output within Roland's RIP workflow.
  • Roland DG Connect included: Monitor device status and production activity. Optional premium services and software add-ons are not included unless itemized.
  • Variable-dot piezo technology: Controlled droplet placement supports fine detail, smoother gradients and consistent output.
  • Media-saving functions: Media pull-back and curing controls help reduce unnecessary blank media and time between jobs.
  • Ready for the next production step: Properly cured latex output does not require solvent outgassing. Follow the media and laminate manufacturers' finishing requirements.

Judge capacity by finished jobs per shift. Print mode, ink coverage, white layers, cut complexity and finishing labor all influence real throughput. Base your production plan on representative work, not an assumed maximum speed.

Integrated Printer/Cutter or Separate Devices?

Choose the workflow that fits your job mix, space and finishing capacity.

The AG-640 brings latex printing and cutting into one device, but a separate cutter can still be useful as volume grows. Compare the complete workflow before deciding which additional equipment to budget for.

AG-640 Buying Questions, Answered

What does the $19,995 price cover?

It is the selling price for the AG-640 and its standard manufacturer-supplied equipment and software. TA2 inks and optimizer are not included. It is not an all-in delivered or installed price; see the Details tab for the included-items list and purchasing conditions.

Can every AG-640 configuration print white?

No. White printing requires the CMYK + Orange + Red + White configuration. Choose the configuration for the work you intend to produce and confirm it during the inquiry and ordering process.

Does the printer cut after printing?

The AG-640's integrated workflow cuts first, then prints. A separate cutter or another finishing route may be appropriate for laminated output, individual sticker separation or higher cutting volumes.

Is the printable width a full 64 inches?

The AG-640 is in the 64-inch media class. Maximum supported media width is 63.97 inches; maximum print/cut width is 62.99 inches. Allow for your artwork, margins and production setup.

Will it work with my current media and laminator?

Compatibility depends on the exact media, profile, laminate, roll size and finishing workflow. Share the manufacturer and product codes of the materials you plan to use so the complete setup can be evaluated.

What are the lead time and financing options?

Contact a GPI printer specialist for current configuration availability, delivery timing and regional service options. Financing is subject to application, lender approval and the terms of the offer; no monthly payment is guaranteed by this listing.
