The xTool WonderPress is not simply another automatic heat press. It is a modular production system that combines a professional heat press with optional tools for DTF film curing, 3D sublimation, vacuum forming and craft baking.
That expanded capability makes WonderPress relevant to apparel decorators, sublimation businesses, DTF users, personalized product shops and makers who want to produce more than flat transfers without filling their workspace with several unrelated machines.

What is the xTool WonderPress?
The xTool WonderPress is a modular automatic heat press platform built around a powered upper press and interchangeable lower modules. Instead of limiting the machine to flat apparel transfers, xTool designed WonderPress so owners can change the lower production station to match different creative processes.
Depending on the installed module, one WonderPress system can support:
Three modules, five production processes
WonderPress uses three primary modules. The Heat Press Module handles conventional transfer work. The 3D Form Module supports both vacuum forming and 3D sublimation. The Craft Oven Module supports DTF curing and compatible baking applications.
This modular structure lets buyers start with the workflow they need today and add more capability as their product line expands. xTool states that the additional modules can be purchased separately, allowing the system to grow over time.
Heat Press Module: automatic pressing for apparel and flat goods
The Heat Press Module is the foundation of the WonderPress system. It is designed for DTF transfers, heat-transfer vinyl, sublimation paper and other compatible flat transfer workflows.
According to xTool, WonderPress can apply up to 100 kg of pressure. The platform also uses increased heating-tube density to improve temperature distribution across the platen. Pressure, temperature, time and operating modes can be controlled from the 1.8-inch rotary display or through the supporting xTool app.
Who is the Heat Press Module best for?
- DTF apparel decorators
- HTV and vinyl businesses
- Sublimation shops producing flat goods
- Custom T-shirt and merchandise businesses
- Creators who want automatic pressure instead of a manual clamshell press
- Shops that expect to add DTF curing or 3D applications later
3D Form Module: full-wrap sublimation and vacuum forming
The 3D Form Module gives WonderPress two capabilities that conventional flat heat presses do not normally provide: vacuum-assisted 3D sublimation and vacuum forming.
3D sublimation
During 3D sublimation, the module heats and stretches compatible sublimation film around a dimensional blank. Vacuum pressure helps the printed film conform to curved surfaces, creating coverage that would be difficult to achieve with a flat platen.
Common applications include sublimation-compatible phone cases, badges, keycaps and other coated or polymer-based products. Proper molds and fixtures are required to hold each object in the correct shape during processing.
Vacuum forming
Vacuum forming heats a compatible plastic sheet and draws it tightly over a physical object. Once cooled, the formed sheet can become a reusable mold for compatible casting or craft materials.
This process can support custom molds for candles, resin, soap, plaster, ice, bath products and decorative casting. Objects with a natural draft angle are easier to remove from the finished mold, while deep undercuts or hooked shapes may trap the object inside the formed plastic.
Not every object is a good vacuum-forming master. Shapes with severe undercuts, side hooks or cavities can become trapped. For easier demolding, choose objects with sloped sides and use the forming material recommended for the shape and application.
Craft Oven Module: DTF curing and controlled craft heating
The Craft Oven Module expands WonderPress into DTF film curing and compatible craft-baking applications. For DTF users, this means the same WonderPress platform can cure powdered transfer film and then press the finished transfer onto a garment using the Heat Press Module.
xTool states that the Craft Oven uses an H11 filter, activated carbon and an H13 HEPA filter. The manufacturer describes the three-layer system as designed to reduce DTF fumes, smoke and odors during compatible indoor studio use.
Who is the Craft Oven Module best for?
- DTF users who need a dedicated film-curing step
- Small studios that want curing and pressing in one modular platform
- Creators working with compatible baked crafts
- Shops that want integrated filtration rather than an open heating surface
- Businesses that want to add DTF production without purchasing a separate press and tabletop oven

What to know before buying WonderPress
1. Choose your package around your first revenue stream
Apparel decorators may only need the Heat Press or Craft Oven package initially. Phone-case and mold businesses should prioritize the 3D Form Module. Choose the bundle around what you intend to sell first rather than buying every module without a production plan.
2. 3D sublimation requires compatible blanks and fixtures
Dimensional sublimation depends on the coating or polymer of the blank and the fixture used to support it. The module creates heat and vacuum pressure, but the object still needs the correct mold or support for repeatable results.
3. Vacuum-forming shapes need to release from the mold
Objects with sloped sides are generally easier to demold. Severe undercuts and side projections can lock a formed sheet around the original object.
4. Filtration components are consumables
The Craft Oven filtration system uses replaceable filter components. Usage, materials and operating frequency will affect how often those parts need to be replaced.
5. The system supports standard materials
xTool describes WonderPress as an open material platform that can work with standard sublimation paper, sublimation film, HTV and compatible vacuum-forming sheets such as TPU, PETG and HIPS. Pre-cut xTool materials are sized specifically for the modules, which can simplify setup.
