Eco-solvent ink is not universal. Different printer manufacturers use different ink families, delivery systems, capacities, and color configurations. The most important rule when ordering replacement ink is simple: match the ink to the exact printer model and installed ink system.

Roland Eco-Solvent Ink

Roland wide-format printers may use TrueVIS TR-series inks, Eco-Sol MAX, Eco-Sol MAX 2, or other model-specific ink families. Depending on the printer, ink may be supplied in cartridges or pouches and can include expanded colors beyond CMYK.

Mimaki Eco-Solvent Ink

Mimaki printers commonly use ink families such as SS21, SS22, and ES3. Cartridge size and color configuration vary by machine, so always verify the printer series before ordering.

Mutoh Eco-Solvent Ink

Mutoh systems may use MS31, MS41, or other model-specific ink families in cartridge or pouch formats. Confirm both the ink family and the required capacity.

Epson Wide-Format Ink

Epson SureColor S-Series printers use UltraChrome ink systems such as GS3. Cartridge capacity and color sets differ by printer generation.

OEM vs Compatible Ink

OEM ink provides manufacturer-specified chemistry and color behavior. Compatible ink can be appropriate in some workflows, but it should be evaluated carefully for color consistency, maintenance requirements, warranty implications, and changeover procedures.

Before You Order

  • Confirm printer make and model.
  • Check the current ink family printed on the cartridge or pouch.
  • Verify capacity and color.
  • Do not mix ink families unless the printer manufacturer or qualified technician has approved the conversion process.
